Our Story
Moonshadow began in Sri Lanka with a small group of family and friends experimenting with natural ingredients. What started as simple recipes in a home kitchen slowly grew into a collection of balms, scrubs, and oils.
From the beginning, the focus has been on keeping things handmade, using natural ingredients, and caring for both people and the environment. Today, Moonshadow continues that journey — crafting products in small batches while supporting local women and families through meaningful work.

Sourcing
We choose natural ingredients close to home — coffee, cacao, coconut oil, and beeswax — always fresh, always pure. Our focus is on local and sustainable sources that reflect the richness of Sri Lanka.
Making
Each product is crafted by hand in small batches. Nothing is rushed. Every balm and scrub is given the time and attention it deserves to ensure quality and freshness in every jar.
Packaging
We use biodegradable and eco-friendly materials designed to protect both the product and the planet. Every choice is made with sustainability in mind, right down to the label.

Gayan
Gayan leads Moonshadow’s marketing and distribution, helping products reach people across Sri Lanka. He connects the workshop with local markets, organizes initiatives such as the Farmers Market, and ensures that Moonshadow is part of community life as well as the national conversation. His steady presence behind the scenes supports both the team and the brand’s wider mission.
Megamali
Megamali is the creative spirit of Moonshadow. She began by experimenting in her kitchen, learning the craft of soap making and refining recipes with simple, natural ingredients. Today, she continues to shape the brand with the same passion — balancing family life with her love for creating products that are good for people and for the earth.

Sion
Sion is the founder and guiding force of Moonshadow. From the beginning, he envisioned a brand that could merge creativity with responsibility — crafting products that meet not only personal needs but also social and environmental goals. His curiosity and drive to learn have shaped Moonshadow into a brand with both purpose and heart.

She also helps coordinate local sourcing and supports community projects like the saree bags made in the village. Her dedication and reliability bring warmth and strength to the workshop every day.
